How To Prepare Before The Movers Arrive

Schedule in Advance

Don't wait until the last minute to pack up your belongings and don't do a bad job packing. If you're not paying for packing services, your movers will expect the boxes to be ready to go.

Having a parking spot ahead of the move is a must. You should communicate with your movers in advance to make sure they know where to park. If you can, secure an area in front of your house or as close to your front door as possible so that you make life a lot easier for your movers.

Keeping kids and pets out of the way is a smart plan. You can arrange for a babysitter to watch the kids or have older kids and pets in a designated area out of the way.
